Job Summary:

At GlobalMed, we don’t just build tools, we architect the future of healthcare delivery. We are looking for a visionary Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of complex physical hardware, integrated software, and life-saving clinical applications.

This isn't a maintenance role. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of new products, from the first spark of an idea through prototyping, regulatory navigation, and full-scale manufacturing. If you are a hands-on strategist who isn't afraid to wear multiple hats to bridge the gap between engineering and the exam room, you’ve found your next challenge.

The Impact You’ll Make

  • Architect the Vision - Lead the concept-to-clinical journey. You’ll translate high-level business needs into technical       requirements for complex hardware and integrated web/mobile ecosystems.
  • Master the Regulated Landscape - Navigate the intricacies of the medical device industry, ensuring our innovations meet the highest standards of safety and efficacy without sacrificing agility.
  • Champion the User - Conduct deep-dive market research and clinical interviews to ensure our hardware solves real-world problems for providers and patients.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Excellence - Act as the connective tissue between Engineering, Business Development, Sales, and Support to ensure a seamless go-to-market execution.
  • Own the Roadmap - Maintain a transparent, data-driven backlog that balances immediate hardware iterations with long-term strategic growth.

What You Bring to the Team

  • The Hardware DNA - You have a proven track record of shipping physical products. You understand that hardware is hard, and you love the challenge of integrating it with modern software (APIs, Web, Mobile).
  • Agile Expertise - You are a seasoned Product Owner/Manager who knows how to keep a lean, fast-moving team organized using Agile methodologies.
  • Technical Fluency - You speak the language of engineers and developers. Bonus points for familiarity with health exchange protocols like HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
  • Strategic Empathy - You lead with data and research, not assumptions. You have the emotional intelligence to understand the high stakes of healthcare and the empathy to design for the end-user.
  • Entrepreneurial Grit - You are a self-starter who treats your product like your own business. You are organized, persuasive, and ready to evangelize your vision to any stakeholder.

Qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Business, or a related field; or equivalent career experience.
  • Experience - 5+ years in Product Management, specifically with products that integrate with physical spaces or hardware.
  • Industry Knowledge - Experience in the medical device or healthcare technology space is highly preferred.
  • Communication - Exceptional ability to distill complex technical data into compelling product decks and presentations for executive leadership

Skills & Competencies:

  • Display high mental aptitude, understanding how people and businesses operate.
  • Experience managing a product that integrates with physical space.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product development throughout its lifecycle, as a Product Owner, Project Manager and Product Manager.
  • Experience managing a team in an agile product development process.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in hardware, web, mobile, API-oriented product offerings.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; participates in meetings; writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
  • Be creative (we’re inventing stuff here) and work smart, no matter the task assigned.

  • You have shipped a multitude of products & can speak to the process of designing & building them with great detail.
  • You have high emotional intelligence to relate your products to customer needs, and you recognize the importance of empathy in this process.
  • You lead with data & research, not assumptions.
  • You are very organized -- you write detailed user stories, maintain your backlog, & set clear goals that are shared throughout the organization.
  • Experience working in the medical device industry a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of medical practices, and/or other healthcare related facilities.
  • Experience working with broadly adopted health information exchange protocols including HL7, FHIR, DICOM, etc.
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings; Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse, and computer for up to 6-8 hours per day.
  • Ability to utilize telephone/video conferencing for approximately 2-4 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform simple grasping, including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout the entire workday.
  • Frequently remain in a stationary position throughout day.
  • Occasionally move about inside and outside the premises.
